2010 Exhibition Puras Misturas (Pure Blends)

After nearly four decades of usage by the Data Processing Company of São Paulo, the building, designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the 50s, turns back to be intended for culture. The new museum opened with the show Puras Misturas (pure blends), which showed to the public, part of its future permanent collection.

With curatorship by Adélia Borges and Cristiana Barreto, the display brings artists' paintings and objects of diverse Brazilian cultures. Pieces of erudite, popular and indigenous art, recently acquired by the Municipal Secretary of Culture, were presented as well as works coming from public collections, such as the collection of the former Museum of Folklore Rossini Tavares de Lima.
